I'm Mujde, the co-founder and the host of Nisanyan Hotel.
I think that the heart of our hotel is the kitchen and our herb garden. I have been in charge of the food department in our hotel for years now. As a rule I have never employed professional cooks, and prefer to raise my kitchen staff from the talented women of our village.
I cook according to the traditions of local Aegean cuisine. Sometimes I get inspired by my trips around the world.
In recent years, I have also developed an interest in the way the Ancient Greeks and the Romans cooked. Through research and experimentation, I have learned a great deal about their cuisine. I now produce my own garum and can prepare a great Roman feast with you.
We press a couple of tonnes of high-quality olive oil every year from the trees of our own gardens. Sorry, we do not sell it, as it is just enough to cover our own needs.
My cooking has been broadcasted in many television channels worldwide, including the national channel of Turkey, TRT and BBC.
I would like to invite you to my cooking classes. You will learn a bit about the traditions of the Turkish kitchen in two-three hours' sessions. We will cook, chat and create a beautiful atmosphere.
